9-10: We Care Together

Tulsa football is on a bye and basketball season tips off next week, so this one is all hoops: it's our Tulsa basketball mega preview with BOTH head coaches.

First up is men's head coach Eric Konkol, back for his fifth appearance on the show. We talk the NIT final against Auburn, what changed from year three to year four, keeping a core together in the portal era, Kaleb Banks' eligibility, the returners, the Oklahoma State exhibition, a tougher schedule, the American, and the 76-team NCAA Tournament. The men open Monday at 7:00 PM central against Ottawa at the Reynolds Center.

Then women's head coach Angie Nelp joins us for her third appearance. We look back at last season and the unfinished business it left, replacing Hannah Riddick, a big group of returners and the newcomers, how the analytics see this team, the American, last year's "comeback team", and NCAA tournament expansion on the women's side. The women open Tuesday at 6:30 PM central against Incarnate Word.

We wrap it up with our thoughts on where Tulsa hoops is headed and why it feels like we all care together right now.
